It’s not as easy as it sounds, right?
After all, there’s more to consider than just the question of “Normal, oily or dry?” There are a whole host of other conditions and maladies too. . .
Sun damage, laugh lines, acne, wrinkles, scarring, complexion issues, blackheads, whiteheads, large pores, the list goes on and on. Imagine a line of skin scrubs that would help improve skin health while reducing or minimizing many of the above issues.
What’s more, each scrub would be available for use on normal, oily and dry skin without requiring that you buy three different blends! How is that possible? With the introduction of our new patent pending Pore Essentials™ skin scrubs.
A skin scrub that’s patent pending? What’s so unique about it?
Two things actually! The first aspect of our patent pending product is that we are using only food grade fruit and plant infused raw organic cane sugars and an organic bamboo leaf extract infused sea salt – nothing else, at all.
Most sugar and salt scrubs offer no discussion about the benefits of raw organic cane instead of the refined white or brown sugar you can buy at the store. That’s because people think the sugar and salt are simply for exfoliation, and there’s no need to pay more money for a sugar scrub when you can make your own at home for pennies. Exfoliation is important, but, nothing could be further from the truth.
The truth is that while beauty is more than skin deep, there’s good reason to take care of your skin, which includes feeding it! Most scrubs available for purchase are full of chemicals to help preserve shelf life during the distribution process. Those chemicals are quickly absorbed into your skin and even more quickly through your eyes when using facial scrubs. That’s far from healthy!
Raw organic cane sugar, however, is high in alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) and has tremendous benefit for your skin. Notably, raw organic cane has more than 10 times the amount of AHA found in refined sugar (white or brown).
What’s more, our infused sugars use only natural and/ or organic whole food ingredients. That means that you also get the benefits of the various constituents found in each natural ingredient.
Take vanilla for example. Vanilla in its natural state has been found to help prevent skin cell mutation and help stop the growth of certain types of skin cancer. We can’t and won’t promise that our scrubs will stop of prevent cancer, but it’s our hope that using a whole bean vanilla infused sugar will provide benefits that have been unavailable to date in any other scrub. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20668316)
Most of our sugars have been selected for their high antioxidants, flavonoids and other skin improving elements. They have been blended to create even greater synergy in their final formulations. Initial product testing was performed on both men and women from ages 17-70 years of age.
Varying skin conditions were also present including acne, facial scarring, sun damage, wrinkles and laugh lines, dry skin, oily skin, etc. The results were consistent and impressive!
Each product tester found improvement in their specific skin type or condition after using this new patent pending formula typically in less than two weeks! Fresh, clean, supple, exfoliated skin with no unhealthy chemicals to be absorbed, what could be better for your skin?
Perhaps, the second aspect to our patent pending product! All other scrubs currently available come in a liquid or slurry form. The carrier or carriers have already been blended with the dry components. This is part of the reason the chemicals must be added to the scrub. But, it’s also the reason each scrub is only to be used for certain skin types, depending on whether your skin is normal, oily or dry.
However, your skin condition changes throughout the year. Sometimes it’s normal, sometimes its oily and sometimes it’s dry. Imagine being able to use the same scrub throughout the year – well now you can!
Our scrubs are offered as dry blends, so that you can add your carrier of choice. You might choose water during the summer when it’s hot because you want something cool and refreshing. Maybe your skin gets a bit more dry during the fall and winter so you choose to use coconut oil, almond oil or olive oil. If your skin is oily, you might choose grape seed oil. (yes, that sounds like a bit of an oxymoron to use an oil on oily skin, but you’ll be surprised with the results!) Go crazy and opt for milk or yogurt for the additional lactic acid which is also an alpha-hydroxy. Or consider a mild vinegar solution for a bit of malic acid – another AHA.
We’ve created four specific formulas that we’re certain will help bring back that healthy, youthful glow. In most cases you’ll want to use two different scrubs in concert for maximum effect. We’ll discuss each of them individually over the next few weeks. In the meantime, you can download a brief overview of them.
We spend a lot of time worrying about the type of foods we eat. Shouldn’t we be equally concerned about what we feed our skin? Try new Pore Essentials™ – Organic Food For Your Skin!
